Anasazi Hike
After Thanksgiving, we decided to take a hike to see some steps the Anasazi Indians cut out of the red rock. Unfortunately, we were misdirectey by another hiker, and ended up at some Anasazi Ruins. Not a bad little hike. It's better to hike in the fall than in the dead heat of summer.

Maddie Turns 7
Maddie turned 7 and, she had a great birthday. When she was asked where she would like to eat for her birthday, she first said Red Lobster. I'm not sure where this fascination for seafood came from. She quickly remembered her NEW favorite place, and asked to go to the "Golden Canal". In case someone out there has never heard of the "Golden Canal", it is often mistakenly referred to as Golden Corral. She would rather get her own ice cream then have some one bring it to her singing "Happy Birthday". The staff at Golden Corral sang to her anyway. Happy Birthday Maddie!

On the following Saturday, Maddie invited a few friends over to the house for a Hannah Montana Birthday Bash! Even Grandma Susan made it to the party, where the girls played Witch Bingo, made Halloween crafts, and did their best Edward from Twilight impression (look closely).
First Day of School - Maddie
I know we're a little late, but here are the pix from Maddie's first day of First Grade...and it was a little bright that morning.
I don't know why, but you always need to stand by a tree on your first day of First GradeWednesday, October 1, 2008
